n a week when our south of St Albans experts (Kevan Harrop and Roger Pask) were away in Norfolk with the West Herts CTC, we struggled to find our way to the Roundbush but it was worth it. Heading back to St Albans, some of us followed a Garmin recommended route along Blackbirds Lane (sounds like a road doesn't it) towards Bricket Wood. This was a route that could have served well as a mountain bike test track. But it was at least dry, the sun shone and we all made it safely back onto proper roads. Pat Kennedy, Charlie Lynn, Chris Horn and Steve Rickard are pictured on a bridge crossing the Colne.
