Pat Kennedy writes: Octogenarian members of the St Albans Section of the Forty Plus-Plus Cycling Club, celebrating at Lemsford, Herts, the 88th birthday on 11 June 2019, of Douglas Nevell, fourth from left. He was quickly followed on 12 June with the 88th birthday celebrated by Barrie Wood (fifth from left). The other octogenarians (from left),are Anne Jarman, 82, with Alan and Mavis Wallace (both still only 81 years of age), Edward Pepper, 83 and doyen Patrick Kennedy, 88. Despite their apparent non-cycling attire, all regularly attend the club’s Tuesday and Thursday rides, keeping themselves fit and healthy.
